Third wave coffee: café Couteau and Café Pikolo

The Knife:
The sweets: Almandine, Chocolatine.
Chocolatine was good, good quality chocolate inside of a flaky croissant.
The amandine was amazing. Not only it was full of delicious almond, the inside was full of a delicious cream full of spices and tasty sweetness, but not too sweet. Really well balanced. Watching the rain while playing logic game, enjoying amazing view and the food, it was a really fun atmosphere.
The cortado, popular in Spain and Portugal as an afternoon coffee, was also good, the base being an espresso, a little bit of warm milk with little to no foam. This was one of the best example I ever had. Nice touch with the heart too.
Jasmine, Nice tea set
beautiful space too, the lighting is gorgeous, the decoration is clean. However, the roof had water damage, they are dealing with it, but it does suck. Hopefully it didn't damage the structure.

Café Pikolo
Do you guys know the munchie/drunk food of choice in Florence isn't a fattening salty snack, covered in sauce? They rather eat pastries, usually sold illegally by a baker. Sweet, gooey Italian pastries in the middle of the night, how good does this sound? After this pathetic attempt of a hockey game (http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hockey/nhl/game/1427168/recap/) and a few beers, I went to grab a coffee and a few pastries from Café Pikolo with Gabby.

Great coffee in this place too.
A bit more acidic than I am used too, but the milk eagerly balanced it. The place was beautiful, a lot of wood.
Sweets: Raspberry and Lemon Financier, Choco-noisette Gluten free sweet.
They were both really good. I love the new wave of not-too-sweet, just the perfect, surprisingly even the chocolate pastry, but the financier was just tart enough to make me want to buy another one.

 Really enjoyed both places.
