From Australian Pies to Ice Cream: the joy of Parc and Fairmont Avenue.

I was walking around, a warm day of spring, with my SO. We decided to stop at Tourtière Australienne for a quick lunch. I mean, how convenient is it? Meat Pies, a simple, quick lunch. Well it was simple and quick, but also delicious.
Tourtière Australienne

Steak, Bacon, and Cheese Pie with a side of Mushy peas. The Peas were sweet, almost creamy like. The Pie was a savory goodness of flaky dough and fattening pie filling. Really good on the go, even better with a bit of dipping sauce and a warm place to sit.
The Big Stack: Special of the Day Pie
I think it was the mushroom and Steak Pie. My memory has been hazy and I don't remember exactly, sorry. But I do remember the amazing mashed Potatoes, the great peas and the gravy that makes the trinity of Pies topping. It was really good.
The place was designed by the owner, apparently a Quebecois and an Australian couple to look like a shop that remind them of Australia. I don't know if it was successful, I never been there, but I find it absolutely charming.
Kem Coba: the Lady of Ice Cream
Owned by a nice Vietnamese/French couple, this place has quickly solidified itself as one of the top dog in the world of Ice Cream in Montreal. This is their first soft serve of the season, raspberry and lemon. Beautiful colour, bright flavour, my usual pet peeve with ice cream, too sugary, avoided. I absolutely love this place.
